Installing and using the Scirus Firefox search plugin
 

 
Firefox is a new open source web browser that is rapidly gaining popularity thanks to its fast performance, tabbed browsing, extensive standards support, and perhaps most of all, its increased security compared to Internet Explorer.
 
The Scirus search plugin for Firefox adds Scirus to the list of search engines that are available in the quick search box at the top right of every Firefox browser window. Installing the the plugin takes only seconds - see below for details.

  • Any platform supported by Firefox (e.g. Linux, other UNIXs, Mac OS X, Windows NT/98/2000/XP)

    How to install the Scirus Firefox search plugin
     
    If you do not already have Firefox installed, download it here.
    To install the Scirus search plugin in Firefox, make sure that you are using Firefox as your browser, and then follow this link: Install Scirus search plugin. That's it - you're done! Click on the search box at the top right to select the search engine you wish to use.
