Advanced Search
Scirus Advanced Search offers you the ability to search on more specific fields. To begin, enter your keywords and specify in which fields you want that query to search:
| • | The complete document | |
| • | Article title | |
| • | Journal title | |
| • | Author name(s) | |
| • | Author affiliation(s) | |
| • | Keyword(s) | |
| • | ISSN | |
| • | (Part of a) URL | |
Then, narrow your search further by selecting one of the following options from the pull-down box to the left of the search bar:
| • | All of the words - your search results will contain all of the keywords you entered in the search box | |
| • | Any of the words - your search results will contain one or more of the keywords you entered in the search box | |
| • | Exact phrase - your search results will contain the exact phrase you entered | |
You can then combine two search queries by linking them with the terms AND, OR, ANDNOT from the drop-down list.
The Advanced Search page also contains a list of characteristics by which you can further specify your search:
| • | Dates | |
| • | Information types | |
| • | File formats | |
| • | Content sources | |
| • | Subject areas | |
Dates
Dates are the publication dates found in a record. Select the years appropriate to your search. Please note that not all the results contain a date.
